Help on decision which GA plane to buy

Recommended Posts

Big deal - no...

Easy to fix - yes.

As you can tell, I have a love/hate relationship with Carenado - mostly love,

but I try to fix the niggly things for my own use, whenever I can.

If you would like the updated Collins texture, send me a PM with your email address..

And please continue with the fixes and tweaks, Bert! They make their lovely planes just a little better! By the way, what was the F33 autopilot mod you wrote about earlier in this thread? I couldn't hold myself back and bought the F33 too. I think the RV-7 and the F33 should be in every GA enthusiastics hangar! ;-)

I recognised a calibration problem with my Saitek X52 within FSX, therefore the RV-7 felt a little too lite and nervous. I haven't used the stick for months because I only flew yoke equipped planes and so the Saitek Proflight yoke has been connected to my computer.

After setting up the neutral zones and the sensitivity of the X52 again, the RV-7 flies really impressively good and creates an immersive atmosphere! So she'll definitely stay in my hangar...

Yeah sure Thanks a mill, I'll send you a PM now,

Apparently there is a user fix for the door problem with the Grand Caravan are you aware of this ? if you had the fix for that I would be eternally grateful.

Choosing between the Baytower RV7 and anything from Carenado is like choosing between cake and chlamydia...

I do not have the 208, but have a look in the Avsim/Carenado support forum.. and ask if you cannot find it there..

Pithy but unfair IMHO!

Carenado may have a few QC issues on release, but I have got a lot of good hours out of their planes.

lol I figured I'd let someone else quote his post...

Anyway the newer Carenado planes are really nice. I've got the f33 and don't fly it anymore... but I do have their 210 - very comparable speeds to RV7.

Anybody know if Bay Tower will release any more add ons in the short term future.

My dream aircraft I would love to get when I'm up and running is the RV-8

I mean have you seen anymore more beautiful than this ..... Because I haven't.

Agreed! I cut my FSX Payware teeth on Carenado and did an awful lot of learning in the T210 - great plane.
