Does anyone know the actual age of the source-data MS used for US scenery in FSX? Current charts are not ideal because subsequent changes to navaids and other facilities cause them to not correspond to what is in the sim.

 

I'm hoping to track down some older charts, either paper or digital, to complete my collection of sectionals for the areas I'm interested in. Having a "target date" would help point me in the right direction. I'm assuming somewhere between 2000-2005, but I guess it could be older.

Going off memory of what other people have said, 2005 sounds about right. I would think a lot of the charts here in the library that were done by Matt Fox would be pretty good.

I'd even say that some stuff reaches back to the FS2004 origins, therefore being even older. Just assuming this from the things like the magdec definitions.
