Interesting read, but as I already suspected, that addon from Perfect Flight is not my cup of tea... Thanks for making that clear. I can imagine though that there are those who will like this addon...

Very good review, Ray..

I must say, as well, that it pricked my interest in the product as well, which is what a good review should do..I still won't buy it, but very good bit of writing.

Thanks Jake, as always it is all in what one is looking for.

RoboRay,

If you never looked a any of the saved games, the Help Desk with all the charts, sectionals, approaches, and other fun things to do and see is worth a few dimes. I tried to make that clear to all several times and in several ways.

I would have thought you would have wanted to take at look at that long list of approaches and sightseeing adventures. I was actually thinking about your flying habits when I was writing parts of the review. I even added a built-in error in the approach that I detailed to see if you would pick it up and call me on it. Something to do with the definition of a radial. :Loser:

Er... oh my... er... Do you mean this: "This one is setup to intercept the 349 degree radial inbound to Runway 35 with deteriorating weather at night"? You are using the ILS and hence the localizer and not a radial... er...?

Or maybe this: "Fly heading 030 and begin your descent to 2500 feet. When you intercept the 080 degrees radial you are aligned with the runway." You shouldn't be flying a heading of 030 but something like 300... and it's the 079 radial which you intercept with a heading of 259...? Er... oh my... Do I really have to read it all over again...?

You got it. Radials are always outbound from the station. Headings along a radial will be the reciprocal if inbound. Or something to that effect. You are my star student now. Your VOR post is getting a lot of attention and I think that is great for the sim community. The more they learn about flying and navigation the better.

Phew... I am glad I got it... And thanks for the compliment.
