Nice survey. However, at "Which real-time flight organization are you a member of?" Do you mean "Both VATSIM and IVAO" instead of "Both VATSIM and IVA)"? Not being a smart Alec or anything, LOL. Also, maybe you meant "Pedals" instead of "Peddles"?

I love surveys like this, I can't wait for the final results.

There is always some anal-retentive type that has to find the slightest "fat finger" moment...

Okay already.... I will correct it.

And, don't get depressed... This survey runs until we issue the 2013 survey... So, check in daily to keep up with the pulse of the community... :Just Kidding:

I think you should correct the spelling of "peddles" - should be "pedals".

Hi Tom,

For the next survey can I suggest a survey topic?

I was wondering if it would be beneficial to ask whether members belong to VA's or not, whether the VA's are based on real airlines, passenger or freight, the airlines geographical location (one of the 5 continents) and whether they fly using just ACARS (VA reporting system) or combined with online services like IVAO/VATSIM.

Thanks.

Robert, would be very happy to include that. About this time next year, please remind me, cause I sure as heck am not going to remember.

"Spotted dick" ... Good one! I chuckled at that one. Wonder how many people actually know what it is ...

Hi Tom,

" Which type of flying do you do the most of? "

The fact that only one choice can be selected may somewhat falsify the result. I know it's early in the game but 0% for helicopters doesn't sound right. I fly both GAs and helicopters most of the time but can't report that. On second thought, the fact that I fly GAs 80% of the time and the remaining 20% is devoted to helicopter flying may be more revealing to the potential users of the results of the survey. Also, I believe experts in preparing surveys will argue that they should be kept short and simple. However, I'm certain that simmers are 'simmers' for the love of the hobby and that most wouldn't mind spending more time than it took me to complete it: a whole minute! A more in-depth survey may be more revealing and in the end of better use to those folks who would use the results for administrative and/or operational reasons.

Food for thought!

Best regards,

Jean-Jacques (JJ)

Seems I'm in most of the main leading categories. Although the omission of fish and chips, and indeed cake, in the food choices is a glaring error.

Yeah, I'm a bit afraid to ask...

But being from the South I'm a bit offended grits aren't on that list... :(

Yeah, I'm a bit afraid to ask...

Don't get too excited... it is a weirdly named Brit desert. (raisins and pudding or some such... ). Trust me... It doesn't quite live up to the name.

I guess everyone has their own odd dishes, maybe we could amend the list to have squirrel and dumplings?

:)
