Best non-commercial Airplanes Available?

Recommended Posts

I want to know what all the best airplanes are that are available for FSX. And by non-commercial, I mean smaller aircraft of course. I have too many airliners and now i want some smaller fun planes. Just list them (paywares please or Freeware if theyre very good). I will literally go and get every plane that you guys list thanks!

Hi,

My two favourite GA aircraft are the utterly brilliant Baytower Studio's RV-7A, and the peerless RealAir SF260.

Both have exceptional handling, especially when flown in conjunction with Accu-Feel. They are both frame rate friendly too, and both have great sounds sets and accurate system depth.

I simply cannot get out of the RV; I've been happily stuck fast in it since I bought it. Both are fast, and both fly nicely slowly (though the RV is way better at smaller fields), both are fully aerobatic, both have superior visibility, and both are highly manoeuvrable, but the RV is tiny on the ground when taxing! The SF260 has a truly distinguished record, but it's older in the VC so lacks a touch of detail, but it's still extremely sharp in all respects. Don't under estimate either of them - read the reviews!

I find that I lose several FPS when flying other well known payware, and this is a really key issue for me. My system is high end - it's all very well having bells and whistles, but you should still be able to fly easily in and out of detailed scenery areas with heavy weather all around you!

My choice today would be the RV, but it was the SF260 before the RV appeared.

Good luck!

The planes that I've been really flying lately are;

Diamond Katana 4X

Baytower RV7

Milviz C310

RealAir Scout - which I purchased just last night and really like

RealAir Duke Turbine

Have fun in your search!

And speaking of Ant's, they have a freeware Tiger Moth that's really nice.

RealAir Turbine Duke,

RealAir Turbine Duke,

RealAir Turbine Duke,

RealAir Turbine Duke and

RealAir Turbine Duke.

Also!

Carenado C337, C208, T210 and King Air are all great planes.

Flight Replicas do a nice Super Cub package with a truckload of variants in it.

Baytower RV7 is a wonderful little plane.

RealAir do a great value Citabria/Scout/Decathalon package for $30

...and as no-one seems to have recommended it yet, you should check out the RealAir Turbine Duke.
