I went with the Vertex 4 512GB. No noticeable difference in speed, but that's not surprising. So far, so good.

I believe OCZ official firmware updates are non-destructive, it's just the release candidates that are destructive.

 

When I last looked at their forum, they suggested it a good idea to secure erase when flashing. Maybe that's jsut an excess of caution. They also suggest rerunning windows performance index, I guess windows does some tuning based on results.

I'm happy with this drive. Tons of space and blazing fast. Can't wait to get *all* my add-ons installed and still have plenty of room left over to try out other sims.
