Buttkicker & NGX

Do you find the buttkicker is sufficient for the PMDG ? Just noticed they sell a gamer extreme with a 200 watts amplifier.

Hard to say when you haven't compared but as you can tell from my previous post I'm more than pleased with the effect the BK Gamer 2 gives me, I actually turned the intensity down a bit.

Gamer 2 is more then enough for fsx.

I even tried it with dcs a10c and the buzz saw from the gun rattled the whole wall at high volume.

It was very satisfying.

I'm planning to get a 737 captain seat in the future. I wonder how I would attach the butt kicker 2

You can find YouTube videos with instructions on how to build attachments, they are designed for people building racing cockpits for driving simulations

Had the original "Buttkicker" for years... took everything to a new level by mounting all my hardware on a false floor! way to go! (see photo). Mounted the transducer onto a steel bar bolted inside onto the top floor and that floor is rubber mounted (door stops) to the base.

How are you attaching the overhead? I have been toying with the idea but have images of my girlfriend walking in and finding me unconscious under a 60" plasma screen!

Rob,

I used twisted link chain (probably way too strong for a 30 kg TV), and large flat washers on the mounting bolts. Using chain made the job of alignment (I used data from MyCockpit.org for a Boeing flight deck setup) a lot easier. I hope to receive a touch screen frame to stick on it this week!

Well it's a very nice setup mate, you've given me some good ideas.

Cheers

What settings are you guys using on the Buttkicker for flying the NGX? Currently I'm using the settings recommended in the documentation for games that is both low and high filters enabled and the high frequency filter set to 40.

I use a lazyboy recliner as my captains chair and was concerned but found the answer right here, problem solved

does anyone have these?

That sounds good but I don't think the captains chair has 'legs' to attach the buttkicker?

The second link you gave -- that might be a better option if a platform was built. Will plugging it into the buttkicker amplifier work?

cant imagine why they wouldn't work with the BK amp although your probably better off buying a separate sub woofer amp as you would get a better one than the BK.

Im sure if you turn the caps chair upside down you will find somewhere to attach it to

the vid shows the size http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=299-028

In the vid it says you can just connect to your home hifi system

can anyone using it confirm this?
