May 7, 200422 yr Decided to make this my next payware purchase. First impressions? Nice....very nice if you're like me and like to hand fly aircraft. Against the warning to 98SE users, I made the plunge and purchased the aircraft. No problems whatsoever... My slower system does bog things down a bit, so I've made two panel configurations--one with just the 2-d setup and minimal secondary panels, and the other is the full blown panel setup. For frames and sightseeing I use one, and for immersion I use the other.Only fly in the ointment is for FS2002 users--sorry, no go for you. The Conquest joins a few other recent releases, which seem to be compiled with the new SDK and model compilers from Microsoft. Those make the aircraft invisible in FS2002! I wish aircraft designers would only use the FS2004 tools if they are exploiting visuals FS2002 doesn't have... I still enjoy both sims for different reasons....OTH, I was looking at FS2002's clouds the other day, and ughhhhh.... Didn't realize how stuck I was on FS2004's skies... But I digress...Great job Flight1.... I could have had an expensive meal this week. Instead, I ate at my desk....and get to enjoy your great release...
May 7, 200422 yr Hi John,Just to point out that the FS2002 glitches are being worked on as we speak, and the next "patch" released should correct this amongst other things.Cheers,Alastair
May 7, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi John,The 2002 patch was available the second day after the release. As always, go the the flight1.com "support" page available from our main page and scroll to the 441 Conquest. It will be intergrated with the service release which is pending.Regards,Jim Rhoads
