May 27, 201214 yr VRS and PMDG are not GA developers. I meant qualitywise. That is the way they make their planes.... the attention to detail and all that. I know Vrs and pmdg are not ga developers. >>>IMO Milviz isn't Carenado either. Carenado planes look pretty... I'm with you 100% here. But then again it's also personal opinion. Some people find abacus planes nice. >>BUT they don't even come close to what Milviz does on flight dynamics (which is more important?) I think Bernt takes care of the FD of the carenados so in the end they'are fine when tweaked. Milviz fly fine here.
May 27, 201214 yr Bought it! First impression: very good! What I don't like (minor stuff): external airplane marks are not the same of the cockpit marks. In every cockpit you read: N7345R.

May 27, 201214 yr The inclusion of a Nnumber decal in the vc will read the .cfg reg number, one will be added to cover the oversight.
May 27, 201214 yr I'm having a slight problem with the GPS, the in-panel GPS map has stopped updating, the overlays are still updating fine, and the popup GPS updates fine, but the in-panel one is stuck at some point earlier in the flight...
May 27, 201214 yr It's actually quite nice. Purchased it, flown it and liking it ... I found the fuel pump sound very loud though. And the bump mapping of the engines looks to be a bit overdone from the VC. That was way worse on the Carenado C90 but it's still a tad too much here too. I really like the flight model though, it really feels as if you're moving through the air. It 'lacks' that flying brick syndrome that most addons give you where the plane is stable like a rock when flying. This one here actually feels ... alive. Something I've only seen in DCS and outside of FSX. Most addons are way to stable in the air. It might be ok for a 737 but for a small two seater? Overall a great little addition. And one sanely priced too!!! That alone is worth the support of MilViz - that they do not charge 40+$ for a 'simple' GA.
May 27, 201214 yr 'Filthy' comes to mind, but in a good way. :Just Kidding: I must admit that I wrecked my plane during the first test flight. Landing in windy conditions was never much of a problem for me but the 55 behaves so differently that it was really challenging. Flying with asynchronous engine settings is a real treat. FInally a light GA without an on-rails-feeling. In desperate need for a ZK-reg though ... Please, someone with painting skills has to do it even if it's a 58.
May 27, 201214 yr Very nice model. I'm enjoying it so far. External lighting could use some tweaking. Need to check my REX lighting settings. MSFS
May 27, 201214 yr How do you actually move two levers in FSX at once? I guess in a real twin you'd move both prop levers at once. Moving one after the other results in a 'flying style' I would not want to enjoy in real life.

Moving one after the other results in a 'flying style' I would not want to enjoy in real life. I must admit that that's one thing that I felt realair did well, the 'left mouse button controls both, right controls individual' gives you a good way to control without sacrificing flexibility. Short of copying that scheme, I suspect the only solution is to buy hardware levers.
May 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the compliments guys and girls... I think we will do an SP just to fix some of these minor issues... (the throttles is a great idea...) Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
May 27, 201214 yr This one here actually feels ... alive. Exactly. She's quite a challenge compared to the usually much more forgiving flight models. I just spent a couple of hours flying her and loved it. May 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member We do try and make sure that our planes fly like the real thing... no matter who is doing the FDE... (in this case, it was John Cagle)... That means that discussions in the beta forums can get quite heated with different pilots having different opinions... As far as how the planes are modeled and painted, I always ask for them to be as accurate as possible and messy. I like messy because it's real. Most things in life, including planes, get dirty and they get dirty fast. You can vacuum up a mess but washing a stain takes more effort and, unless, that's your job, it rarely gets done. As PMDG put it for the NGX, "if we made it as dirty as it really is, no one would believe us...:" And that's true. Besides, I'm a Star Wars fan and that's my thing... Hi mate Enjoying the plane very much, fun to fly and loved landing it. EDIT: I found the clickspot for the GPS - it works great thankyou. Cheers
