May 27, 201214 yr @ardix, sorry we (MV) do not provide support for the addition and/or removal of 3rd party gauges... I hope that someone else here will help you with that... I know how to add them as a 2d popup. But I would like to place them in the cockpit, like the "free radio" version of your C310.
May 27, 201214 yr Maybe I have another issue here. Is it normal to have the aux fuel pump noise only in the LOW setting? If I set it to HIGH, nothing is audible. The audio is something we can fix. In real life you use the high setting primarily to remove fuel vapors from the lines prior to a hot restart. You also should use it when flying at high altitudes above 12,000 feet. Its role is to simply increase the pressure of the fuel to ensure it gets where it needs to go. Ken
May 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member That's the same problem as the Germany. We're working on it. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
May 27, 201214 yr Bought this earlier today, and very nice it is too, although I am tempted to rip the Century IV out of my JF Duchess and sling it in this thing LOL Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 27, 201214 yr You are making a new promotion video? Just for me??? What an honor! :Peace: But, to be honest, I don´t need any more promotion, since I already bought it! Can´t wait to take it for a first flight tonight. I already integrated the RXP GNS gauges, hope that will work....
May 27, 201214 yr For what it is worth, I know I checked for that during testing and I just went back and checked it again. You have two sounds for the auxiliary fuel pumps -- both being digital recordings I made in a real piston twin aircraft on the ramp. The switches are three-position. The high setting features the higher sound of the pumps running in the high pressure setting. The low setting is the same sort of sound, just lower in volume because the pumps are not running as high. You should have sound in the high and low setting. Silence is when the switch is in the middle position, meaning the pumps turned off. Please check this again. If you have an issue, please post your experience at our support forums as I am sure the fine folks at AvSim don't want us using their forums for working squawks! Cheers, Ken
May 27, 201214 yr .... I already integrated the RXP GNS gauges, hope that will work.... How did you do that?
May 27, 201214 yr I did not test it yet, but it should work like that. Note that I own the RXP GNS 430 & 530 as well as the Unlimited Pack. May 27, 201214 yr I'll add to Mik75's post and say that yes the RXP units will work and his mods place them properly into the aircraft. If you are using hardware ie PFC430 to control your Garmin radio you will need to swap the order they appear in the panel.cfg so the 530 loads first. If the 430 appears first in order in the panel.cfg it will load first and the PFC430 will control the first Garmin unit loaded. Easy swap but curious that the designer would write the panel.cfg with the secondary radio being loaded first in order. Ken, nice work on the mission pak. This is worth the price of the title alone. I did notice a few places where 310 was mentioned instead of Baron. I also noted that there may be some positional problems when someone is using UTX (which might reposition the airport). The call out you gave for turning base was mid field and final was called out about the time I turned base. There were no further calls other than a warning regarding blue line as I came over the fence and retarded throttles for landing. I think I might install this package into P3d and re run the mission to see if it happens there (no UTX). May 27, 201214 yr Hi! I just gave it a first try, and it works flawlessly! The RXP gauges are placed behind the Milviz bezel in the VC, and the 3D knobs in the VC work! That means you have the great look of the Milviz panel and the function of the RXP gauges combined, fantastic! What I´ve seen so far is absolutely fantastic! Great work, Milviz!
May 27, 201214 yr Pumps work, I get both sounds. Depends on the setting. I start with high and go to low in flight as high pumps are rather noisy. One thing that looks like a bug is the lighting. The lighting of the radio stack works despite no power (battery off etc.). Intentional? Besides the switches for the lighting are not that easy to handle. Well hidden and without a proper tooltip so you don't know what intensity you have just set up. And one question. Rudder seems to effect the plane in similar fashion as aileron, the plane starts to bank if you apply rudder only. The rudder does work but it also generates banking to an extend. Is that indeed the case?
May 27, 201214 yr re the fuel pumps-as mentioned they should only be used during starting and hot starts-not in flight except if you have an emergency. During start my procedure was to always put the pump in low-then in high to make sure both settings worked. Michael-thanks so much for your reality xp config-this saved me tons of time and trouble! One question for Milviz-probably is not doable and an fs limitation-but any chance the mirror on the left cowl can reflect the nosewheel landing gear? That was its purpose-to check that the nosewheel was down. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
May 27, 201214 yr I just gave it a first try, and it works flawlessly! The RXP gauges are placed behind the Milviz bezel in the VC, and the 3D knobs in the VC work! That sounds outstanding! One comment and one question - the comment - for those who don't have the unlimited package make sure you change the line in Michael's example RXP config from CrossFill=on to CrossFill=off or you'll have some issues. The question for Michael - why LinkVor=1 in both 430 and 530? Have only had a chance to do one quick test flight so far. This is my first Milviz plane so I'll have a few things to get used to I'm sure, but everything looks and feels very good. I couldn't find a way to get a good view of the fuel switches, but I'm sure I'll figure that out. And I did have a minor prop control issue, but haven't had a chance to do a second flight to see if it repeated. On the ground during runup, the props cycled through their range just fine, but when I went to set cruise power on leveling off after my climb they wouldn't respond beyond a certain point. It wasn't a quadrant calibration issue, as the prop controls in the VC were responding properly, it's that the controls stopped having any affect. Hope to get a chance to fly some more later today. Scott
May 27, 201214 yr Thanks for your help Mik75. I have this result: Anyway it's impossible to rotate the larger knobs. I can rotate only the small ones (comm/nav decimals and secondary pages). Also, the overlay is not so accurate, but I can live with it. Regarding the pump noise, I confirm what I've said before: no sound with HIGH setting on my system.
