Recommended Posts

Hello PMDG Staff,

I am just wondering what you used for the passenger weight in the NGX.

Cheers,

Easy way to verify this is to first select empty in the FMC noting the ZFW and then add 100 passengers. The difference in ZFW divided by 100 will give you NGX estimate of 175 lbs/passenger. I would imagine that this estimate may vary from carrier to carrier, however. I know that more commonly it is 185.

Each airline specifies its own assumed weights, and they often change during summer and winter months (people pack on pounds and wear more clothes when it's cold).

If you're talking about the load manager in the FMC, type in 1 and look at your payload. From there, all you have to do is guess how much they're assuming for the passenger, and how much for their baggage.
