Simulating Ferry Tanks

Recommended Posts

Hi

What do I have to change in the aircraft cfg to simulate having a ferry tank on board? Right now I just want to do it with the aerosoft twotter but might need to do other planes in the future.

Thanks lee

Hi Lee!!

maybe i could help you. Some time ago i'll do something similar in a Caravan. Well, this is what i did:

In aircraft.cfg file, look from the next list, which one is available. This will be your ferry tank inside your plane.

center1

center2

center3

leftmain

leftaux

lefttip

rightmain

rightaux

righttip

external1

external2

Next, under [fuel] you'll define the tank. For example: Center1=0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 359.0, 0.0 where the first 3 figures are the datum reference point (in feet), and the last 2, useable and unusable fuel capacity (in gallons).

You could use stations under [weight & balance] as a reference of where tanks are placed.

I hope you find this helpful!!

Best regards,

Ignacio
