May 31, 201214 yr ENRO (Røros) is a relatively small regional airport serving the town of Roros in Sor-Trondelag, Norway. Runway length is 5,643ft and the runways are 14/32 with ILS RWY 32. LOC RWY 32 is 9 degree ofset making it an interesteting approach for pmdg 737-600. According to Stig Moen, the airport manager, the 9 degrees ofset is due to the local geography and preferred gently sloping GS due to the high altitude runway (2,054 ft).I would like to ask a question. How do pilots use an ofset LOC. I mean when do they line up with the runway? Before or after DA? When do they turn of the AP? June 1, 201214 yr I mean when do they line up with the runway? Before or after DA? MAPt abbreviation means missed approach point. As it seen it located before turn, even in case of aircraft category is A. So after DA and line up at about 500meters from threshold, as you can read from right upper corner, that localizer crosses runway extended center line in 700m from THR. When do they turn of the AP? Not lower than OCA minus 50feet. Rostyslav S Wanna fly 737NGX with turbulence?
June 1, 201214 yr Hi Hansen, Which airline fly to ENRO I can't find any schedule on any airline. thank's
June 2, 201214 yr Author I think DOT LT provides some scheduled flights to and from Oslo. (not daily) http://www.flydot.no/Om_DOT_LT-33542.htm The 737-500 landing video is an old recording. I'm not sure if there are any 737s landings there for the moment. http://www.avinor.no/en/airport/roros/frontpage Geir Geir Hansen
June 2, 201214 yr Mr. Hansen is correct, the only scheduled traffic to ENRO is by DOT LT, mostly using Saab 340. Braathens did serve the airport using Fokker 50, 737-500 and later 737-600 and 700, but that is several years ago now. Braathens was taken over by Scandinavian Airlines in 2004.
