June 8, 201214 yr Author Of all of these, EGLL is most definitely the heaviest in terms of performance on my system. I use it as my benchmark. Over the 6 years of FSX I've been struggling to get a system together with which I can fly EGLL with realistic weather AND realistic AI traffic. I use AS2012 weather with REX 4096 clouds, and i use either or both of MyTrafficX and UT2 for traffic. Both of these AI packages give heavier traffic for the same FPS as default traffic, and more realistic of course too, with pretty much the correct airlines using correct gates and fgong on belevable journeys.. At last, in this last year, I've achieved this ambition. I now get a minimum of 15 fps, but more usally 20-30 (my limiter is at 30) fps throughout EGLL, and always >= 20 on approach, which is important. But to do this I use: My AI settings for MyTrafficX are 60% airliners, 15% GA. Most of the other sliders aren't relevant. Autogen has an effect, but it is dwarfed by weather and AI at EGLL so i have it at "normal" or "dense". Note that 60% AI with MyTrafficX is like 100% default but with only 50% of the FPS impact. Hope this helps you understand. For a first complex add-on airport you've made a somewhat drastic choice! ;-) Regards Pete I forgot to mention that I also use REX Essential and 2048*2048 clouds. I also use MyTraffic 5.1B. Is that not previous version of My Traffic X? Do you use My Traffic and UT2 together or one at a time? I might mention that the second addon airport I had in mind is ENGM Gardemoen in Oslo.

MyTrafficX is currently up to version 5.4a, and if yours is an earlier version you should go get the free updates. See the Support Forum at http://forum.simflig...-support-forum/. Do you use My Traffic and UT2 together or one at a time? I was blending both until recently. MyTrafficX has an option to compile only those airlines which UT2 omit, like most of the chartered airlines, military and cargo ones and their aircraft. It also supports, "out of the box" a wider variety of aircraft. I went over to 100% MTX when one of the UT2 updates stopped my Emirates A380 daily afternoon flight from Manchester. I used to enjoy seeing that on its twin jetway stand at EGCC, and now its back with MTX only. The only advantage I thought I was getting with UT2 is that they fly proper plans, often along airways, so when I am flying airways I am one of a number on the same line. The MTX routes are of course simple point-to-point ones, so they are all over the place. Mind you, looking at the sky above my house (15 nm S. of EGCC) "all over the place" looks quite realistic! ;-). I notice another schedule update is out for UT2 so I may try the mix again soon.
