June 7, 201214 yr For those who have bought the MilViz B55, does it come with a glass option? I have the C310R and it does have the G1000 suite, which Milviz did a pretty decent job for normal usage. I could not see a glass cockpit screenshot, so I assume that it does not, but would like to know. Thanks Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. June 7, 201214 yr I didn't see one. But you should still get it. Its way too good to pass up. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist

There is an optional radio stack/GPS layout, it's toggled in cockpit by a toggle switch on the right side that's been labelled with masking tape and a biro. It rejiggles the order of the radios and GPS units. But correct in that there is no G1000 layout option.

My apologies - you're absolutely correct. I'll admit I've hardly looked at it, as I've layered the RXP stuff underneath the original layout, but it is basically just a juggle of the same radio stack and in no way affects the analog gauges. It's still a traditional analog panel. Scott
June 7, 201214 yr Commercial Member Personally, if there was to be a glass option I would prefer something like a GRT Sport or one of the Dynon displays.... June 7, 201214 yr The displays you would find in real life in both the C310 and Baron would be the Aspen Avionics and the Garmin 500. While we are starting to see STC's for the G1000 in some additional aircraft it is such an expensive option that few aircraft in this price range are going to get retro fitted, additionally the older style Baron panel would not be a good candidate due to the design, I doubt you could find a place to put the MFD display. June 8, 201214 yr Author Thanks all for replying. I have the C310R which is a light twin and wonder should get the B55. I kinda like the glass cockpit setup and had hoped on a similar feature on the B55. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS

June 8, 201214 yr I kinda like the glass cockpit setup and had hoped on a similar feature on the B55. Bit of a square peg, round hole situation here. Like the classic Bonanza, one of the main appeals of a B55 is its unique panel. Scott

June 8, 201214 yr The Baron G58 has the G1000 - I've seen one up close. I've flown one Tabs (notice my avatar!), the pre 1984 Baron doesn't have the panel space for a G1000, only1984 and later model 58's have the redesigned panel. The model 55 retained the old panel design and therefore is not a good candidate for a G1000 retro fit. They do work very well for G500/600 though.
