LEVEL-D 767 VC UPGRADE BY ZINERTEK

Featured Replies

I'm fairly certain, that it's 'only' improvements to the texturing. As far as I know - and what I can see from the screenshots, they haven't made any additional changes or improvements to the model.

Best regards,

That being the case. The freeware upgrades are good enough for me then.

True! I would gladly pay triple the price for an improved OH. Always bugged me yrs ago.

Finally the download went through. The 'HD' texture feel is definitely NOT there, the improvements are noticeable but the model shows its age and (might be only me) the overhead is too dark while the APU is off, turning into a proper colour once the APU turns on.

All in all just a bit better than Andre Folker's mod and might not even be worth the 9.99.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

Good feedback on the pay mod, it now gives me pause to commit.  Anyone else tried it as yet?

OK, so I'm mostly a lurker in the Avsim forums but I thought I would put in my $0.02.

I got the Zinertek Level-D 767 cockpit upgrade for FSX today and it's definitely a huge improvement. It's only a texture-based upgrade mind you, so no improvement to the actual model.

However! The improvement is very noticeable and looks way better than any other cockpit textures for the Level-D including Andre Folker's textures.

You be the judge:

Andre Folker's:

Zinertek:

The first thing that jumped at me is how the EHSI and EICAS displays look way more realistic. The cockpit itself looks more detailed as well. Andre Folker's cockpit looks washed out in comparison.

Zinertek did a good job in creating EICAS displays that are more realistic:

Normally, this is how the EHSI display looks like with Andre Folker's cockpit:

With Zinertek's cockpit the EHSI display is so detailed now you can even see the dust in it!

The FMC and the pedestal looks more detailed than before as well:

Now let's compare the night effects:

Andre Folker's:

Zinertek:

Zinertek's night effects are way better, IMO. Just look at the overhead:

All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and it's definitely worth the 9.99 Euro.

Haha, I know your dilemma, but if you fly with the Level-D 767 regularly go for it. You will not find a better virtual cockpit for the Level-D 767 out there.
