Hi

I'm get a message when selecting the C-185 of "Failed to startup the flight model". Any ideas, or do I simply reinstall it?

Cheers

Mike

Sounds like some livery entry in your aircraft.cfg is off. Did you install some mods for the flight model or some extra liveries? To check, open the aircraft.cfg with e.g. notepad and look at the entries. I've highlighted the vital line.

If that sim= entry points to another file or involves a mixup of letters, you may receive the message from FSX that it couldn't start the flight model.

For example, if you run the optional flight model mod from Bernt Stolle, the entry looks like this.It's pointing at the moded air file from Bernt.

Thanks... I'll go have a look. I thought I'd done a plain install, but it was a while ago after a rebuild, so anything could have happened!

It's got:

sim=185_stnd

which I hadn't copied across for some reason. Fixed it now, thanks!
