June 18, 201213 yr Hi everyone, Thanks Chase for the help! I have looked for this topic but cannot seem to find results - maybe I have bad eyesight - here in Ireland we have an advert on T.V. 'Should have gone to Specsavers!' On a serious note - I have finally started to use the FMC on my PMDG B737 - 800, everything seems to be hunkydory after the tut for going EDDH/EDDM - but I wanted to get clever and file a plan from Hthrow to Dublin - but it said that it did not recognise (the airports CAO's! I know this is probably very basic for most of you guys - but it is just one of those tiny brainteasers you have to encounter, when trying something new out. As always thank you all for your kindness. Great bunch of guys. Hope to hear from anybody Regards Mike
June 18, 201213 yr Might be a stupid question, but.... What ID's are you using. London Heathrow is EGLL and Dublin is EIDW. Pontus Emanuelsson "You win again gravity!"
June 18, 201213 yr If you would, post a couple screen grabs of your FMC when entering route information. Here's what I did to start a route from EGLL to EIDW: On the POS INIT page, make sure to have EGLL as your REF Airport. Click "ROUTE" bot Right LSK 6R "EGLL" automagically appears in the scratch, click LSK 1L for "ORIGIN" On a side note, if you save flightplans for PMDG aircraft you can load them in the "CO ROUTE" LSK 2L Enter EIDW into the scratch and click LSK 1R for "DEST" There you go. Hope this helps out in some way, happy NGXing! Jon Preston
June 19, 201213 yr Or you could read my tutorial and create the flightplans externally and simply load them in via the FMC.
