June 19, 201213 yr Looks fantastic! Please give us basic ATIS or at least some form of weather reports so I can safely navigate this scenic paradise.
June 19, 201213 yr I don't really know if we should give flight props yet for the sloped runways, they are there, but to be honest you can have sloped runways in FSX and FS9, you just can't have AI on a sloped runway. guess what we don't have (yet) for flight? I'll give major props when I see a flight AI craft take off and land on a sloped runway. The shots look awesome, I flew a few flights when it came out, but I've been waiting for Alaska to spend any serious time in this sim. ^^^^ Quoted for truth. The exception being I'm not flying Flight anymore. Just waiting for the content that'll probably never come. The Alaska screens do look nice but the gameplay and quality of aircraft is a make or break for MS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Blake
June 19, 201213 yr Now all I need is a FULL BEAVER (DeHavilland). When I went to Alaska, this seems to be the airplane of choice for sightseeing. Give me a Beaver with a VC, and I'm back full force in Flight. Yes, I can use the Maule, but I'm just dreaming out loud. Stan
June 20, 201213 yr Commercial Member I agree. There are a few aircraft that are just NEEDED for Alaska. One of them is the Beaver! And a FULL Beaver at that, not some cockpitless eyecandy toy. Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer

Give me a beaver amphibian (turbo would be nice!) and a Huey and i will be one happy Flight user. New shots look great, but i gotta admit, I am spoiled by what Holger has given us in FSX Alaska with TongassX and ORBX. Gonna take alot to surpass that. Best, Michael KDFW
June 20, 201213 yr My eyesight must be going because it seems to me like the water in the pictures they posted looked pretty good... Perhaps I am not as picky as others on this issue. The images are zoomed out quite a bit from the water so hard to tell what they will look like closer up. Given this is Alaska, the streams should generally look turbulent with rapids (and not glassy smooth) which seems to be what they have done!
June 20, 201213 yr Well personally I think these images look great and it`s a bit unfair to start passing judgment on what the whole package is going to be like before it is even out. Remember also that Flight was designed to work on the average machine and adding infinte little details that you probably won`t even notice half the time will only affect the framerates and slow things down. My biggest concerns are how much will it cost and what aircraft will they include ? The scenery looks fine to me.

I really couldn't give a rip if the water doesn't shimmer perfectly, or if the summits are more/less rounded than they should be, or if fill-in-the-blank feature isn't as picture-perfect as it might be... What makes the difference to me is what I'll be flying. There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.
June 20, 201213 yr Loving the water pack-ice too..I wonder if it's modelled as a real surface or just eye-candy..I can see a few nice landing challenges on the way if it is a surface JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
