Again, I will reiterate:

Did that come via Ctrl-C and V? Just kidding. But why not answer his question if you quote him in full length? :Peace:

The VC upgrade is an optional set of textures that makes the cockpit look more used, and is not included by Level D. It is available via the Level D support forums for registered users.

Glad someone tested it and came to the right conclusions, thank you! CS might have poor examples of aircraft, but the 767 is NOT one of them.

Hello

One area where the LVL-D wins hands down is in the amount of hardware that interfaces with it.

Every hardware MCP and FMC runs flawlessly with it.

For this reason the LVL-D is a better choice for me as my Goflight MCP supports it in the Goflight drivers.

This for me is reason enough to use the LVL-D over the CS767, CS do not seem interested in supporting external hardware.

Hello

As a Goflight owner Linda is of no use to me, I do have the Goflight MCP working with the CS757 through Lua scripts so it could possibly be done, but it is not close to the level of the Goflight drivers.

Hello Nuno

If you get a chance can you tune the VHF radio on the glareshield to 110.90 and let me know what happens.

I guess you are right on the Goflight case. The LINDA folks had a poll running a while back, concerning the hardware which might be supported in the future. I think I saw the Goflight stuff being among the options to choose from though I've voted for my small M-Panel.

If the CS glareshield radios are correct, it shouldn't be possible as they are only for VOR tuning. At least that is the correct behavior according to Level D.

Hello

Hopefully CS should be able get this right, here is the 757

And Level D then adds a weather radar? Batting%20Eyelashes.gif Guys, is it really that hard to admit that your personal preferences aren't necessarily the ones of other people?

I really think that every mad dog and every Shane out there can coexist with the Toms and CoolPs around, all of them flying different planes and still feeling good about it. I mean, even the Level D dev found wise and friendly words for all folks flying this or that 767 and 757. So why not pick his attitude as a role-model?

Looking at the sheer amount of Avsim hosted CS vs. LD threads, I don't think that this special one will end with a winner where the outcome then dictates which plane to use.

By the way, my statement on the weekly replay wasn't that far off it seems. Well, I guess the usual iFly vs. PMDG case already has claimed some victims. Rolling%20Eyes.gif

I have nothing wrong with preference or opinion, but non-factual statements such as the Captain Sim 767 has equal or more accurate systems then the Level D 767 are what I target. I also never stated that someone should NOT use the CS 767 because the Level D 767 is available.

Hello

I think not being able to correctly model a piece of navigation equipment is a pretty fundamental flaw.

Come on, this is easy stuff that most simmers know, If you are going to model an airliner and go up against the likes of LVL-D and PMDG then you ought to be getting the basics right, even after five attempts.

Guys, we may agree that the thread aimed at some comparisons and insights regarding two rather popular 767 renditions in FSX. I think the interested reader will find some of those while scrolling through the pages.

Hello

The interested reader will then be able to try the LVL-D 767 for 30 days, money back if he does not like it.
