I'm not worried about my FPS.

I would not either If I had a Quad Core at 4.2GHZ!

Level D is deeper system simulation than CS 767, so if systems that work realistic way are the most important thing for you then get it. If you care more about eye candy, then get Captain Sim which is superior in that area, but is a bit slighter system simulation.

I have both of them and I prefer Level D but CS is good one too, planning to start flying their 767-200 soon again.

When you guys say bad system simulation on the CS, what exactly is bad about it? The FMC doesn't work?

Hello

For an example of the lack of detail and how the CS is poorly researched and programmed consider the NAV receiver, this should skip valid ILS freq's.

The CS767 does not, The LVLD does. that's detail for you.

The LVLD just works correctly, has failures, superb hardware support for every realistic MCP out there with an SDK available, FS2Crew support ect.

The CS looks nice , that's really important for some folks though.

I didn't say that its bad exactly, just not as complex as Level D 767. Like mad dog just explained a lot of smaller system detail is missing or is incorrect, but as a whole it is pretty good in area of systems, just not as good as Level D which is one of the best system simulations ever released anyway.

I would love to get the Level D 767 but won't buy a 6 year old product that is graphically outdated for $60 when I can get the NGX for the same price. While CS products tend to be garbage (I have the 757 so I know), at a $10-15 sale the value of the CS 767 has got to be better than the LVLD priced at 5 times as much.

Now, if the LVLD where to get a graphical update I would buy it in a heartbeat. Otherwise I can't see myself spending more than $20 for it.

Ahh okay. Let me ask you guys one last question: Is it true that the Level-D's FMC is not programmable if it is not popped up? (Like 2D) Or is it the CaptainSim? If so, that is quite bad.

Yes it's true the level d fms is not programmable in the vc. Only as a popup

 Why?

Okay it is official. There is currently no good 767 for FSX. I'll just get the PMDG MD-11 then... Thanks for your help everyone.

Yeah I find it very hard to fly the LDS anymore, at least there's a voice commander of fs2crew for it. I like the md11 though too

I can not see how anyone could defend a subpar company like captain sim even though the lvl d is 6 years old It is far supior to cs.

I have simply seen MUCH worse companies out there than CS. In my opinion CS addons are mostly way better than ones provided by Wilco for example (though they do have few good addons too).

Actually some of wilcos products are far better than cs like the ERJ V2.

That's because it's a feelthere product, Wilco is just the publisher, not the developer. A Wilco developed project is for example the 777 or the CRJ NextGen.
