'IS there a way to delete every single view that they have created? Toilet view? Salon view? Really? Talk about fillers and padding for the bloatware. I have no use for the 99% of the camera view they have in there. They have added so much noise...that the basics are lost in the noise.

Um...don't you just right click and blast them? I'm not on my sim right now so I can't say for sure.

Providing you followed the setup steps correctly, the Number 2 on the keypad is the button to turn on and off the edit-cam function

I pressed the #2 in VC and that does nothing/ Hmmm..

I am surprised that they didn't hijack the PTT (Push to talk button) for a view up the flt attendent's skirt. LOL :)

Sorry Guys! I am walking up the walls here in frustration.. and I am thinking, only the guys here would understand. . :)

Sorry Gregg.. IT was a typo. I pressed the #2 key and nothing happens. I am assuming I have to press that when I am in VC?

You have to press the 2 on the number pad. It should start dinging every second or so. When it's dinging you move the camera around using the mouse the arrow keys and the page up and down key. Then press 2 again to lock it in. If it's not making any sound then close EZCA from your tray and reopen it.

You know what Gregg.. That did it. It does save the settings.. I reloaded the aircraft and it had the same view.

Now I have 2 more Qs.

1) my left arrow to reposition works when I I hit the #2 (in the numneric keypad) but when I am not in that mode it does not. (that works for most aircraft but not for the citation)

2) How do I get my Electric trim key back. It has assinged the trim key in my yoke to go view the MFD in the citation.

Well! thanksGregg for helping solve that view button.

1) I'm not sure you can reliably use the arrow keys if you use EZDoc. Maybe. I'd load the aircraft and then check the assignment in FSUIPC.

2) Look in FSUIPC to see what it says the electric trim buttons do. If they send keys that EZDoc uses then you need to change it to actually do the trim control directly instead of through sending a keypress. That would be my guess.

There is something called reasonable expectation. There was a case where man in a bar bit into the olive in his martini and broke his tooth on the account the stone (Seed) was not removed.. he won the case on the basis of reasonable expectation. You expect the stone be removed from the oilve in a martini. That goes for software or any product design...including product standardization.

Somethings like the Aileron, the Rudder, Trim wheel, PTT etc are so basic, you should not mess with it..particularly for something as trivial as some silly camera views. Views are nice to have...but the basic of what is required to fly an aircraft (albeit a sim) should take precedence. For a new app, you don't use "Ctl-C and Ctl-V for anything else other than copy paste for e.g.. Just sayin.

I think you can change a fair number of the the keys from the menu in EZDoc.

I have changed the assignment of the Edit key from the default "2" to the "INSERT" key.....it is not used in my keyboard setup so I prefer to keep it away from my numpad....

It is NOT a user-friendly piece of software. And if you want it mostly for the head movement effects, as I do, then the fact that the software comes with its own set of views and view controls can be off-putting to someone who is used to the normal ways of doing them in FSX.

And I'm in no way trying to start trouble, but the software is about camera views primarily, so it does add to and change how those work. I wouldn't call that "bloatware." I understand it's not what some people want primarily, but it is what it was created for. And the ability to set up a correct pilot eye viewpoint saved for every single aircraft is one of its best features. Finally, I can sit in the actual virtual seat at the right virtual height in every plane I have.

And it has a manual. Everything that has been asked is explained pretty clearly in the manual. No reason not to ask here and get help that way too, but I'm thinking some frustration may have been avoided by recourse to the manual rather than to google.

Yes...double yes. Not just the forward view but the side views when you're looking for the position of the runway in a turn and then...very quickly...back to that front looking view. For that, it is absolutely excellent.

right. but what if the guy drinking it took the manual for the martini... and used it as a bar napkin... while not actually reading the "Olives and you!I How to avoid disappointment and injury" chapter.... what is the expectation then?

you might have better luck watching some of the how-to videos. i been using ezDok for years and i don't think i've ever seen conflicts like you are having, maybe i just got lucky by using a relatively default key setup..

good luck anyway, it's great software and worth figuring out

cheers,
