CDU - 'Alternate, Hold, Extra': what are these values?

Hi. Googled this, searched this forum, and the manuals. All I see, in one of the pdf files, is the instruction to enter 15,15 and 0 .. which is what I have been doing for years. But why? I assume those figures are just for the tutorial flight. Can anyone tell me what these values represent?

Hi Martin,

 

I don't have the plane in question - but - that looks like fuel for the flight entries - Fuel to make Alternate Airport - Fuel for anticipated Holding Time - any Extra fuel you are carrying not specifically for the aforementioned choices... They just drop some of the zeros on the actual figures...
