What can I expect with getting this new laptop for FSX?

Its a good laptop for general use, however I would not reccomend it if you purely want to use it for FSX. AA would be very poo and the I5 and 4GB ram would limit frames and auto gen.

It's not a good laptop for FSX, mostly from the graphics point of view, but there's nothing at all wrong with an i5 setup. Even my machine runs at a perfectly smooth 30fps with high autogen and all sorts of scenery. Not everyone runs the NGXs of this world and an i5-2500k with even 4 gigs of ram is a great FSX machine for most people.

 

But I must reiterate to the OP... don't get that laptop for FSX, it's not the ideal i5 and the graphics will let you down badly. It really is much more economical, and flexible, to build a desktop for FSX.

An i5 desktop processor will perform fine, but this is not the same. It is the mobile version which has only two cores and low voltage technology which makes it perform even worse.
