Autogen Pop Up & Bad Texture Load Times

Recommended Posts

Hi , here is my system i7 2600k (4.4 ghz) , 8gb ddr3 , Nvidia Gtx 570 and dedicated 200 gb disk space seperate from Os and my screen resolution is 1440*900. And here is my problem , ive got clean install fsx then load Rex , Gex , Utx and Fs Genesis Mesh. First time i try the Bojote's automatic cfg tweak tool , it helpep to sim for better running but not i expected. Then ive read Nick's tweak guide , i recreate new cfg file for these tweaks ( which these are , Affinity Mask=14 , Fiber Frame Fraction Time=0.33 , Highmemfix=1 , Lod Radius=6.500 ,Texture Max Load=4096 , BufferPool=0 etc). Then i defrag my hdd and fly with Pmdg Ngx. But when i flying , autogen materials are poping up and they are load lwhen i come too close to them , some ground textures load and covered late as well. Is there any solution for this issue ? Thanx already for any suggestions and sorry for my bad english.

Exactly same in these videos

unfortunately, fsx doesn't use alpha fade for autogen objects so they pop into view, not gradually fade in like in fs9. most annoying but your wide radius setting should minimize this shortcoming.

That's one feature I sure do miss from FS9, but after using FSX for so long now I guess I have gotten so used to it that I barely even notice it anymore. It's would be cool if the was a tweak like the LOD Radius one that we could use to make autogen draw from a longer distance if we so want to experiment with it a bit.

Be sure and check Word Not Allowed's Setup Guide here in \Hardware\Mobo.

This. Bojote's tweaker may be good for some but it did little for me. Word Not Allowed's tweaks actually worked.

Try changing your Texture Bandwith Multi under Main in your cfg to 80 or 90 This did the trick for me.

@RWFeldman - :Party:

@kdfw__ - i also tryed 4.5000 till 8.500 but couldnt see much difference.

@OldMaintChief - ive done it step by step.

@TurboTomato - before Word Not Allowed's guide , i tried bojotes tweak and shader mod 3. But at this way ive got much shimmering autogen texture.

@FreeBird(Josh) - ive tryed from 40 till 100 but nothing really changed.

Tomorrow im going to make fresh installl FSX without Gex - Utx and Fs Genesis , and see the result. And one more thing , if i buy Sata III SSD is it useful for these issues ? Thanks for suggestions
