VRS Superbug vs PMDG NGX

Recommended Posts

I currently have the PMDG NGX, and I can run it with pretty good frame rates wherever I want. From what I have read, the NGX has a reputation for being hard on the frame rates, so I'm happy my system can handle it. I've also heard the VRS Superbug is frame rate intensive- what kind of frames could I expect from the VRS Superbug if I can run the NGX at about 40 fps? How does it compare? GTX 570 HD 2.5GB, i7 2700k @ 4.3GHz, 16 GB RAM.

I have similar config, most details on max and VRS works well in all conditions except OVC (but this brings down FSX everywhere no matter the airship used). Grab the plane, You won't regret!

You should be able to run the "Superbug" without any problems!

OVC

this is probably a noob question but what is OVC?

Overcast (cloud layer/ceiling)

This is a standard aviation acronym, as is "BKN" for "Broken layer/ceiling" and SCT for "Scattered layer" (Scattered is not defined as a "ceiling"). Then there's "CLR" which is obvious....

Thanks, Bruce.
