July 20, 201213 yr Im not loosing sleep over the lack of a good Crj-200.. But I struggle with anxiety over the lack of PMDG B1900`s for FSX... Now those regional turbos make me fall in Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
July 20, 201213 yr Amazing. I was just thinking about PMDG doing a CRJ earlier before coming to this thread. I was hoping the "secret" plane Randazzo hinted at the presentation in Europe was a surprise CRJ-900 haha. Oh definitely would love to see a CRJ-700 or 900. America West uses 900's to ferry visitors to Las Vegas from surrounding states. Love how they travel fast and can fly pretty much as high as the 737. Yes, the ride is different, kind "smoother" or "faster". I've had the Wilco CRJ's since FS9. They have basic FMC and MCP functions. At least more than the offered 777s out there. Flight1 already did a nice full featured ATR-72. Heard they used to use them in the U.S. , then they got banned for some safety performance problems. I still fly it on FSX. Anyone else like it?
July 20, 201213 yr I used to think the 737 was the most ugly thing I have ever seen... until PMDG developed it! I can't stand when people base their opinions on aircraft all with an fs add-on. This is a game, the 737 is great, but guess what all these other aircraft are just as "amazing" and "beautiful" in real life. Im not loosing sleep over the lack of a good Crj-200.. I still fly the ATR once in awhile, I'm more of a turboprop fan myself. They still fly ATRs in the US, most of them got moved to the south after the Roselawn accident due to the design of the deicing boots not covering far enough back on the leading edge to remove ice. July 21, 201213 yr if PMDG did a plane out of the ordinary, it would certainly make the mark and publicity. The J41 is out of the ordinary. I agree with the spirit of the OP: we need a PMDG-quality RJ. If that's a CRJ, it won't bother me. In fact there are a few categories that, if PMDG did them, I'd have a full PMDG-only lineup. As a result, I'd reach Nirvana: Small Regional Turbo-prop: PMDG J41 Mid-to-Large Turbo-prop: Uhm, how's about that Dash 8 PMDG? Regional Jet (50 - 100 seats: Uhm, hello PMDG, here's where you come in Single-aisle small-to-medium range (A320, 737, MD80 families): PMDG's got you covered Single-aisle medium and beyond: QW 757 is good, but PMDG could do better (I am leaving the missed-the-starting-gun-ware one out of the discussion). Multi-aisle medium-to-long range: This is PMDG's sweet spot and we're covered for life here I need an all-PMDG airliner fleet (thinking of Continental Airlines or similar) and I am prepared to pay for it. I'm afraid that the "legs" left on FSX won't go much further past 5 more years from now. Jeff Bea I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

The 717 is the only aircraft not developed for FSX yet (ok, it is but has anybody seen that thing? It doesn't count) and PMDG has it half done (MD-11 systems). Making a DC-6, and a JS41 when they could have made a 717 is beyond me, but hey maybe they know something I don't. If PMDG never picks this up I'd really hope QW does. Just my couple of pennies. I was hoping to see LeonardoSH give it a try after the mad-dog series, but my hopes are getting lower all the time.. I figured it was a natural aircraft to follow up with, but apparently not.. Just imagine being the only developer with a smashing 717! Im shure whoever does it will make a good load of money on it if they have a good brand (Such as PMDG, QW, LeonardoSH or perhaps Aerosoft to name a few.) Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
July 30, 201213 yr Ok, PMDG; just go ahead and develop every airplane out there. No pressure or anything. ^_^
July 30, 201213 yr i WISH ALL OF YOU WOULD GIVE UP ON THE crj AND TJHE -8. bUY THE JS4100 AND BE HAPPY!!
July 30, 201213 yr i WISH ALL OF YOU WOULD GIVE UP ON THE crj AND TJHE -8. bUY THE JS4100 AND BE HAPPY!! Thank you for your truly intelligent post in this thread! Seriously! Now if you would be so kind to let me remind you that the 777 is being produced by PMDG as per community request. Erik L.

Now if you would be so kind to let me remind you that the 777 is being produced by PMDG as per community request. Yes, however there is nothing wrong with posting an idea. I'm sure PMDG loves friendly suggestions such as this one. That's how the 777 came. Yes, from suggestions and support! Without someone posting an idea, there would be no thought of the community! I have the Wilco CRJ and it is dis sapointing! I'd give it a 6/10. It has great textures, but it's true lots of features are missing.

July 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member I was working that flight 2 weeks ago maybe I had you on my flight Ryan! Small world. KDLH to KORD...poor Duluth hope all that mess gets cleaned up. Having 3500 hours in a CRJ-200 it really is a shame that there isn't a good quality sim out there that models it. If you want an airline career in the US odds are very good you will end up flying one at some point in time. And it really is a blast to fly. I've had lots of friends that have gone on to bigger and better aircraft but they all miss the CRJ...its the most advanced aircraft that does nothing for you ; ) No VNAV lots of handflying. I'd love to see a well reproduced one, but I don't think it will be PMDG that does it. Its a different airplane for sure, its always great seeing jumpseaters cringe as you come in nose low at 145 knots. Landing a 200 is a challenge cause there is nothing else out there that lands like it commercial aviation...no leading edge devices....takes a gentle touch but the trailing A bar gear helps alot....I digress...If your flight was smooth with no problems it was me Ryan...if it sucked I was wasn't flying it ; ) I do remember the flight being very smooth! It was the first flight of the day (6AM) on 6/29 - let me know if it was actually you, that'd be a pretty crazy coincidence that someone from the forum was piloting it!
