Grrrrr...I had a CTD yesterday and after rebooting into FLIGHT all my aircraft and landing stats HAVE GONE. It still has all my landings there, and all the time I've flown and all my achievements etc, but only ONE UNIQUE LANDING and ONE FAVE PLANE.. :shok:

I HATE SOFTWARE... :Hmmmph:

It's probably been asked before, but is there a way to back up your stats file? Is there some location with your profile, or is it hidden in some GFWL black hole?

You can, and should, back up your stats. I don't have the exact link handy (bouncing down the highway - NOT driving - surfing on my phone), but if you search this forum for "Career folder" you should find it.

The careerfiles are saved in this location (the numbered folder is different on every PC):

C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\<Numbered Folder>\Career

Because the AppData folder is hidden by default you could also copy and paste this into the Taskbar search option and hit enter:

%AppData%\Microsoft\Flight\Players

which wll open the Players folder.

I always make a backup of that entire numbered folder.

Well, despite losing my plane and airfield stats, the rest of them are still there, and just now, in a very scenic flight from Bluff Park Farm (71AK) to Pogo Mine Aitrstrip (76AK) I got my Private Pilot wings!!

I know this is small beer to most of you lot, but I have two mistresses and don't play FLIGHT all the time..

Loving Alaska..Keeping the Faith..Bit disappointed to hear it only goes to Level 20. Haven't MSGS played any mmporgs lately? Level 20?!?! :Phbbbt: I'm on level 17 or 18 (can't check now, on a job) Pah..

Lol , yeah I was a bit dissappointed when I saw with Alaska the levels did not go up - I have been at 20 for quite some time. Maybe they will add more in a future title update or something.

According to my flight website stats:

Total time: 79:47'39

XP: 880,943

Distance traveled: 10210

Total cargo (lbs): 18317

Clandestine (lbs): 5894

It doesn't seem to show it at the website, but the airports landed at is: 98

A little more time and I can break 1m XP, and maybe get up to 200 airports while I'm at it. And a few more big clandestine trips and I can break 10000 lbs for that, and 20000 lbs for total cargo.

But the only stat I'm really proud of is my highest landing: 20268.

That one was not so easy. I have some pictures of my landing on McKinley in the Stearman in my grand tour thread. As far as I can tell that's about as high as you can get, maybe a few more feet, but I'm not sure when the altitude measurement is taken for that stat (when you first touchdown or when you reach some certain speed?), and that peak is pretty small; there's not much room up there for a higher landing.

I thought the "Greater than Expected Patients Achievement" was for ferrying Agnes between hospitals.
