Aerocaches are back!

The Aerocache!

One, two! One, two! And through and through

My low flying Cub went snicker-snack!

I left it dead, and with its head

I went galumphing back.

In other words, Go get it! :P

What time did they post that up? I've been checking the website daily, twice daily to see whether the cache had changed from Haena, and it hadn't. Fantastic, another cache I've missed because now its on Elmendorf....

MS' communication skills really hack me off!

No idea I just noticed it and came to post about it.

Also, I Guess nobody got the Jabberwocky reference in my post! :P

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!

Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun

The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:

Long time the manxome foe he sought --

So rested he by the Tumtum tree,

And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,

The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,

And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through

The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

He left it dead, and with its head

He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?

Come to my arms, my beamish boy!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'

He chortled in his joy.

I went there last night and it was gone. This was a day after it was advertised. Is this normal, thought it would be up there 24 7 as long as I was logged in?

Must be a new random duration features - might be five nanoseconds, might be five days, but hey! It's sure makes 'cache collecting fun....

There have been three aerocaches in the past few days. I was flying towards the Stratovolcano when it expired at midnight EST, so I missed it. The next one doesn't appear immediately, but maybe within 30 minutes after the last one expires.

They are all so easy to catch that the last one just required taxiing :-)

Hehe, It could be taken during flying too :P

I tried to catch all the 147 aerocaches I've got so far from inside a flying plane, the hardest for me has been the keyhole in Hawaii... Never do by foot what you could do airborne

I did not even start the engine, just got out and walked to it. I then did take off and fly around the area for an hour or so. really beautiful area to fly.

Yeah, this last one at Tatitna was pretty lame, yet they gave it a difficulty of 2? What would be a 1? If they plop you right down on top of it?!? :Waiting:

I hope they're not having more problems with the AOD's. When I looked at today's cache (Tatitna), it said it was available for 37 plus hours. This is the same thing that happened the last time trouble started. Also, before when I got a cache, it registered right away. This one didn't. Hopefully when I start Flight again, it will show as collected.

Thank you.

But then there were complaints that they were disappearing too quickly............

I think the whole "Aerocache of the Day" concept is fundamentally flawed.

Put them all in. Let people go look for them. Maybe "highlight" one each day, but don't trickle them out like this. At least in Hawaii, there were a few dozen others to go look for if you wanted to do so.

Well, I checked the MS Flight website, and my aerocache count is right. Started Flight to fly a mission, and it's still wrong. Hope something hasn't messed up my career file. I have a saved version as of two days ago, but I would still miss a couple of caches. Seems like it's always something. :P

Thank you.
