Cub Deluxe almost on sale.

Featured Replies

Well, it seems that the Carbon Cub is now available in the Marketplace...

but not available to purchase yet (dang it).

It looks like things are being put in place for the sale though.

Soon, very soon.

Release it faster so I can throw my money at the screen!

A lot of people are quite psyched about the 'deluxe' cub, so for them this is great news.

I am waiting for a slightly bigger and faster plane for flying jobs across Alaska. The cub is a funny plane and certainly has its place as a typical bushplane, but i don't know if i'll buy the VC-version. I almost never fly the normal Cub, its too slow for me.

Mark

Hmm, they don`t say anything about mission coming along this DLC... only cockpit and 2 liverys?

4$ maybe ?

I will buy it because it's a plane that fits Alaska really well, but I won't be my main plane: way too slow. I will use it for some short sightseeing flight around an airport but certainly not for jobs that are longer then 20 nm... ;)

The information about the Cub says nothing about what we are going to get but I noticed the Categories mentions 'Waterski'! Didn't see a picture with ski's though...? What exactly are waterski's? I did see a pic of the VC and as far as I can tell it's indeed the same GPS as the Icon has. Rather useless...

Yes, apparently the GPS is the same as in the Icon5... Not too good for a start on this new approach to DLCs completion of basic aircraft. There are some leds bellow the GPS dislay that I can't glimpse, so I still have hpoes that it brings a little bit more of functionality... anyway for me now that I have GMap up&running, thanks to JvanE's and others contri butions here and at both the Steam and FSWidegts forums, I am ok regarding moving-map support :-)

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I don't think that we get the Cub with floats... Waterski in my eyes just mean to be able to surf on the water in order to slow down as it works already now... But, let's see. The Cub is bought anyway, because it's really fun to fly and land nearly anywhere...

I just noticed it says "waterski" on the Deluxe promo page. I wonder if it has detachable floats or skis which is very common in Alaska?

I think we get another "light" DLC, no pics of other set of wheels (non Tundra), skis or floats, so the CC is going to be exactly set as it is now it seems, only with some more liveries and an IA5-like cockpit map...

I was kind of hoping that the Carbon Cub DLC would happen to be the 1st plane with variations.

It's better be cheap, particularly during or after the Steam sales !!

Looks like a DME to me...

Let's hope they will release it when the 40% sale is still there! EDIT Hm, considering the fact that Flight DLC usually arrives a few days later on Steam, I don't think this will happen.

It appears that the only saving grace (if the "fake" cockpit is accurate) is that it comes with a single VOR indicator, so at least it's able to find its way. The Icon-ish GPS is pretty much useless window dressing. I'll wait and see what others think after they've bought it, especially if there are no ski or float versions.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Not sure I'll be picking this up right away... I've been moving through the planes slowly trying to get some semblance of mastery with each one before moving onto the next. I've done the Icon, the Stearman, and I'm currently working on the RV-6. After that will be the Maule, and then we'll see about buying the Cub!

From the Marketplace page:

"Seating Capacity: 2"

I wonder if they are "fixing" the passenger capacity or just publishing correct (but incorrect for Flight) stats.
