July 18, 201213 yr Sunday is the final day of the Steam sale. I wonder if the pics are just a tease and it'll be released after the sale ends? But sometimes the Steam release is delayed, so the sale would most likely be over by the time the deluxe version makes it there.

Maybe it just the programmers way of getting even for all the flack they got over the lack of cockpits, and there really is no deluxe version... :unsure:
July 18, 201213 yr Personally, I dont care how slow the cub is ...MS have given us a VC plane and the only way we can convince them that this is the way forward is to BUY IT... as all I've done is complain about the cockpitless rubbish they kept spewing out as DLC and harping on about giving us VC planes ..vote with your wallet... I for one will buy it, yep, same here, have to show my support of a complete aircraft no matter how slow it is, LOL. Best, Michael KDFW
July 18, 201213 yr I never liked and never used (if possible) popups in FSX The FSX GPS was the one thing that really needed to be a 2D panel. Way too much small detail to try to use it from a 3D cockpit. In the end I didn't even use the normal map view, but flew by instruments alone, with the GPS as a quick reference with the map set to "north at top". Most of the time in the FSX Goose I used the 3D cockpit. A few things didn't work in 3D, so for those I used the 2D versions. It was a lot more convenient to bring up the normal 2D panel to make a quick setting to the throttle, prop and mixture during takeoff, and I had it set up to bring that up *over* the 3D cockpit with a single button press. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

July 18, 201213 yr GMap for Android!? Well since I lost my phone last week (Windows Phone 7) I guess I know what OS I'll have on my new phone B) Yes, FSWidgets makes an Android app that displays GMap for FS9/FSX and XP10 (I think). The Android app does not support Flight yet, but they do plan to add it once they get GMap for Flight a little more polished. Once they do, my 7" Android tablet will become my Flight GPS, sitting between my stick and throttle.

Hook The Dials/gauges of Carenado Aircraft for FSX will pop out in an expanded view for legibility if you click on them. I have often thought that all fsx plane designers should adopt this as a standard, and I think it would work great in Flight, as well, especially if the Gps could also expand like that when you needed it. July 18, 201213 yr Once they do, my 7" Android tablet will become my Flight GPS, sitting between my stick and throttle. That's my hope. Well not for you to have it but rather me on my rooted Nook Tablet. I've already used it with the free FSX moving map and it's nice to have more than one display. I also have an iPad at work that just sits in my desk draw doing nothing but, I just know if I took it home and spent money getting an app that my employer would want it back to give to some management lackey. It goes without saying that I use lackey with the utmost respect for our gallant, wonderful and most excellent management team. Do they release stuff on Wednesdays? July 18, 201213 yr I don't agree that the moving map in the Icon is useless, however, I would like to see the ability to increase/decrease the range added. As of now I haven't bought into GMap and using PlanG; I don't care for having another window added on top of my screen while flying, and the moving map does let you plot out valleys and see the terrain ahead. It just needs more range, IMO. To me, an aircraft-mounted GPS should help me find airports, or at least navigate. The Icon-ish one doesn't do that, except for the largest ones (that I can see from far outside its range anyway). If it had a waypoint function or the ability to identify small out-of-the-way airports, that would be useful to me. There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Mine is a 16gig Nook Tablet running Albert's SD root which allowed me to keep the Nook stuff intact which I wanted because I like the book reader on it better than the nook book reader app. Rag Tag Fleet Development Team Member. http://yankeeclippersmobile.com/forum
