In the middle of the night last night, the Mayor of Chicago had police escorted, construction crews begin to dig ditches in the form of an X the full length of Rwy 36/18 at Meigs Field. 16 aircraft were sitting on the ramp and are now stranded. There was no prior notice and there has not been a public announcement as to any reasoning behind his actions. This is NOT and April Fool's Day joke. Al Heline
