July 27, 201213 yr I used to fly Comair from Cincinnati/Kentucky to Toronto and to be honest, I would prefer it if companies like Delta would just handle those routes instead of contracting them out. A pilot starting out is better off starting out with a company like Delta on a regional route and working their way up instead of starting out at Comair and trying to transition over. If you are a regional pilot at Delta then at least you get to seek mentorship and advice from the older pilots flying the larger jets in the fleet. Now it is just going to go to the lowest bidder, most likely Skywest. Chris Miller
July 28, 201213 yr The sooner this past decade of American Regional's and their pathetic T&C's comes to an end the better. These sort of routes either need to be dropped if they're uneconomical or returned back into mainline flying. The wages paid to some of their pilots is close to sinful they're so low... Capt.
