August 2, 201213 yr Something like this? I left the 2.000-2.200 in it. I'll post it at the club when it is really finished. (Or should I have done that the other way around?) I am wondering about this 2000-2200 rpm climb. Does that come from an actual manual? I'd never being doing that. In the RV, I'd takeoff at 2700 rpm, and then pull back to perhaps 2600 rpm (at most) for noise. For climb, it STAYS there, until I pull back to 2350 rpm for cruise. Note: my engine/prop combo has restrictions for full time use between 2000 & 2250 rpms. I never liked it below 2000, and would be at 2300 minimum. On the other hand, the Lancair is different from the RV6, but just really wondering............as I don't have time to check it out, at the moment. L.Adamson

L.Adamson i think he is referring to FPM.......which I wouldnt do as it can change based on all manner of factors. August 2, 201213 yr Yes, that's fpm (as the pdf shows ) and I got that from the RealAir Flying Guide. But just like Glenn I use vx or vy now and don't mind too much about that the fpm is.
August 2, 201213 yr Yeah, I'd not try to maintain a FPM rate as high as 2200..You'll end up stalling...I'd try to maintain an ascent speed EDIT; I did try this last night, too..I get to around FL5 and the speed drops off so much one has to dial back the rate of ascent a bit..Having read one of Mr. Adamsons posts about his use of CS prop in the VANs previously, I have been using his rationale as above..it makes a lot of difference in the VANs but not so noticeable in the Legacy..it really is a thoroughbred, isn't it? It's a bit like the Ferrari of GA I got this aircraft last night so did an iPad version Great work, David Thank you (I do have an ipad and this is just what it's for!) August 6, 201213 yr Nice to see others from Flight moving on over to FSX.. When I first ran Flight it also was after years of shelving FSX. Like Jcomm mentioned though when I tried out FSX again and bought a few of the highly spoke about addon planes (Turbine Duke) it was like a whole new world. I at some point actually said to myself "I didn't know FSX could be this good, boy do I have some catching up to do." I moved on to Prepar3D but it's the same difference more or less. If you have been away from FSX for a while you might also have missed the unbelievable beautiful sceneries of Orbx FTX. You can even try the free demo: http://fullterrain.com/product_nablue.html It enhanced my sim experience (I like VFR flying the most) incredibly. Now exploring New Zealand and loving it.

It's a bit like the Ferrari of GA Great work, David Thank you (I do have an ipad and this is just what it's for!) The Legacy is by far the 'slippiest' GA aircraft I have flown in the sim. Even a basic circuit takes some handling with the speeds involved. I would imagine she is a lot of aircraft to handle in the real world. August 29, 201213 yr Thanks a million for the checklist. Great stuff. Love the Legacy. Happy flying everyone. Jas Jaseman. Lovin it up here........ Catch us over at MassieSim32 -> https://discord.gg/B4buuHGhcr
September 16, 201213 yr Thanks to every one that prepaid and assisted with the check list. I especially like portrait mode for a three ring binder bolted to a reading stand. I am an old guy who finds limitations with electronic gadgets; just give me a pencil so I can jot frequencies and stuff like that on printed flight plans, approach plates, ect.
March 6, 201313 yr Because I like things compact I cramped the 4 page checklist of the RealAir Lancair Legacy onto one A4 and also added relevant information from the Flying Guide to it (desired settings, various notes, etc.): hence the 'enhanced' in the topic title. Maybe some of you might find it handy too so I decided to post it here. Please let me know if I used wrong descriptions or if there are any mistakes in it! EDIT New and definitive version added to this post. Where can I download this checklist? I don't see the file?
March 6, 201313 yr Where can I download this checklist? I don't see the file? Attached files ALWAYS disappear after a while on this forum... Happens to my 737NGX Checklist all the time too. So just as I did with that one, I uploaded the pdf to a Google site. Hopefully it will stay there until the end of times... ^_^ https://sites.google.com/site/realairlancairlegacychecklist/pdf Let me know if this doesn't work!
March 6, 201313 yr I wonder how real this aircraft is. I love flying it but, statistically speaking, some of us should have nosed it over and planted a Legacy flower once or twice low and slow near the runway. The RW aircraft has a poor safety record. Anybody willing to fess up? Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
