Saving a flight in progress (which saves the panel state) is in place. Regarding pre-programmed panel states, i.e. - cold and dark, or engines running, is still on the drawing board in the sense that, while that too can be accomplished it will also save the airport which the panel state is created. The option to set the panel state at the click of a button is not feasible (at this time - no promises).

Simeon, that's going to work just perfect for me, very happy to know.

If anyone from Majestic reads this thread or if a beta tester cares to pass this on: support for shared cockpit is a huge incentive for me and my best buddy each to buy copies to sim together!

Shared cockpit functionality will not be part of the initial release, as initial test were not to our satisfaction. An alternative solution to making this achievable will be looked at, but we are "hoping" to make this feasible - "NO PROMISES"

Thanks for the full disclosure. I'll hold out hope for a shared cockpit feature and will likely still purchase for solo flight.

Umm.. Kroswynd? Mr. Richardson, sir? A question from a southern caribbean simmer. Would it be possible for you and your company to add a LIAT livery to your release liveries for the Q400? I think that would boost your sales in this region. I know the livery would be fictional but I've spoken to a large body of simmers here and some real world pilots who say they would like to buy the Q4 but since they don't have any affiliation with simming outside the caribbean islands on a whole, it wouldn't be much fun for them. I tend to agree. It would be nice to island hop with a Q4 in LIAT livery from MDSD in the D.R. and follow all the real world routes all the way down to SYCJ in Guyana. If you guys do take us into consideration (and we do so hope you do), we thought the registration V2-LCJ in memory of the LIAT Twotter that crashed off TVSV St. Vincent with all souls lost in 1986 would be a cool tribute. Thank you for your time and we are hoping and keeping our fingers crossed for a LIAT Q4 in your release. Either way, speaking for myself, I can't wait to have it. I've lived in Vancouver for a few years and I know Horizon routes intimately. Blessings on you and your team.

Aeromaestro,

As a fellow Caribbean Simmer, I understand your desire to have a LIat Q400 as a part of the package, however since it is a livery that does not or did not exist in the real world we have opted to only release actual liveries.. including a fictional paint should not be a decision making deal breaker for purchasing the aircraft, repaints will be done by many of the talented re-painters within the community.

As a former Liat employee, the idea of a commemorative paint for the downed Twin Otter in 1986, and I one for the destroyed Q300, are both good gestures. However that is not a part of the business plan. While none of the liveries to be released have any linkage to the Caribbean sector, I am sure it won't be long before that fictional livery shows up for download :LOL

Thank you for your kind words, and we look forward to bring the simming community a product that creates a new flight experience.

I would like to request an RJ Xpress repaint if possible, as I doubt it would be done after the release.

I requested the Q300 in Royal Wings colors, but was unlucky:

Sadly they no longer have the aircraft, but it would be great to add to my collection.

Thanks either way.

Waleed,

Striking livery, but the same applies, we'll have to wait for someone to paint it when the paint-kit is released.

No worries KW, I got used it a while back, though I must admit to being luckier than before with RJ repaints.

Looking forward to trying Austrian out of LOWI once it is out.

Holy crap, I just found it. I only had to search the whole forum library. Alright then. No worries. Thanks anyway. Looking forward to the revamped Q300 too. Cheers.

P.S Liat's got ATRs coming on a line in a few months here. Interesting hey?

  • Commercial Member

For us the Dash 8 die hard's the introduction of the ATR for Caribbean flying (knowing what their limitations are with American Eagle) is not a pleasant thought concept. However in today's economy, most airlines are taking the sweeter better deals, and since Bombardier has stopped production of the Q300 series (50 seater), Liat did not have very many options in choosing who to get in bed with.
