VSync on Radeon cards?

Recommended Posts

I've been dabbling semi-seriously with FSX for a few days and ran into the problem of Vsync not working properly on ATI/AMD video cards under Windows 7 x64. Meaning, according to several hours of research, that I can pick between massive screen-tearing with Vsync off or screen-flashing artifacts with the third-party software hacks to force Vsync on, if using FSX.

Does Prepar3d correct this issue? Does Vsync work properly on Radeon graphics cards under Windows 7 x64?

Google Vsync fix for fsx. There is a cfg tweak that will force it on for AMD cards.

Every "fix" I found for ATI/AMD Vsync in FSX also caused other problems. Do you have a particular one in mind that does not?

[GRAPHICS]

ForceFullScreenVsync=1

Seems to be the only way for AMD. I don't use a Radeon card so can't tell you how well it works.

Oh, that explains part of my problem... I was putting it under [DISPLAY]. :blush:

Thanks.
