REX file Corrupt / Invalid message!?!?!

Recommended Posts

I purchased REX Essential for FSX last week and I haven't been able to successfully open the file after it finishes downloading. I have tried downloading the file 7 times and every time after it finishes and I try to open it, it gives me a message that says the file is corrupt of invalid and cannot be opened. I have tried using download managers and external drives all with the same result. I have tried contacting REX directly but their phones are always busy, they won't return my messages, and they won't return my emails. I just want to get this downloaded and installed already. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Phones? REX runs a forum. Just sign up and place your order number in the signature. If you've bought it at FSS, you may also want to contact the shop. They have a live help feature running for example.

But maybe some REX dev sees your thread and helps. But I'd still head for the forums, as Glen says.

Hi Ben,

Like others have stated, we have a support forum dedicated for support of our products. I received your email at a business lunch meeting and couldn't get back to you THAT quickly, my apologies. I have responded to you in our forum.

Our 888 number was not setup for support, however we do phone support when absolutely necessary.

is the file archived? sometimes different versions of packing/unpacking software have problems with files (very rare, but i have personally experienced this occasionally).

depending on your operating system you might want to try something like 7zip (freeware) or a trial version of one of the many payware packing software packets (like winzip, winrar and so forth).

Ben

Are you the Ben that emailed me directly? Just wanted to confirm.

I have sent an email to FSS to see if this is a wrapper issue.

 RESOLVED!

I downloaded a 64 bit version of WinRAR to extract the file and BINGO. I now have REX Essential all installed and already love it! Thank you all so very much for your hard work on helping to resolve this problem. All of your feedback has been more than helpful and greatly appreciated!

You guys at REX ROCK!!!
