Yes, very good.

I can't imagine I ever exceed 20 kts on taxi when FO calls 70, but not to worry if it's going to cause problems to fix it.

All the best.

I assumed you taxied at a much higher speed. Was it very windy, perhaps severe gusts???

If this happens often, will have to look at it.

  • There you go. Download this patch Manually replace 3 files in \Multi Crew X-Plane\ installation folder. From now on, once you mute all MCE reco with ScrollLock (or optionally with Numlo

  • For PMDG 737 MSFS integration, it is currently in Beta. Should have received invitation to download the Beta. Assuming you've done that, download this patch http://www.multicrewxp.com/B

  • Try using the word "all".   Two relevant examples that work for me (1st for the NGX, 2nd for the simcheck A300):   "All fuel pumps on."   "Deactivate all packs."

Hi Gerald,

I've now done some tests, taxiing the PMDG747 at EGKK whilst selecting cabin view.

(I normally use outside view to taxi as I find it easier)

First, I didn't realise that I taxi so quickly, namely 40kts!

It's when I brake that FO calls out "Brakes active.  70kts".

But I can't seem to repeat the call out on subsequent braking.

So, as previously, don't worry unless it's an easy fix, as it's my fault for being so impatient to get airborne.

When I command "window heat high" it shows MCE has understood the command (shows up in the red type), but nothing happens...window heat stays on low.

Fixed in this patch.

This only happens with the Captain Sim 777.

If I give the first offer a heading select command, he will ALWAYS turn the knob to the right so if I'm on a heading of 180 degrees and I request 170 the FO will move the heading selector 350 degrees to the right rather than turning left 10 degrees.

It only happens with that one aircraft. Is there a fix to this?

Hello,

MCE is a great program. :good: ähm... most of the time, but the recognition of my speaking is very, very variable from flight to flight on the same day and from day to day. I can't understand this. The same airplane (PMDG J41), the same PC, the same high-end-headset, the same voice, the same procedures and totaly variable recognition. In some flights my FO understands nearly nothing, in other flights nearly everything. Specifically the recognition of the Default ATC in FSX is so variable, partial from hour to hour. Sometimes nearly every word is unterstood, the other time nothing works. I don't think that this can be repaired, probably it is a psychiatric problem of the PC :fool:   I am interested to know, if this is the same with other flightsimmers or if it is only with my system. Thanks for every answer!

I was hoping others would shime in. Maybe should have started a separate topic.

Only thing unique to J41 is the deafening engine noise which when using speakers would eventually cause the speech engine to go overdrive.

I assume all audio is routed to headset and if using a USB one, is connected straight to the back of the PC, and not via a USB hub.

I also assume your ambient noise conditions, under which you trained your speech profile, don't vary widely.

I don't think it has anything to do with your accent.

Suggest you unplug USB headset, touch the connector with your hands, wait a few secons and replug it again. USB devices can be temperamental.

As for ATC, the PTT assigned switch can make or break the experience.

When you hold PTT switch down, all commands for interacting with FO are suspended, and those for ATC are enabled.

The opposite happens when you release it.

It's important the whole message is transmitted before releasing PTT, as ATC speech recognition would cease by then.

Also, a wobbly PTT switch may wreak havoc as it could be disabling the ATC reco right in the middle. All it takes is a micro-second switch not making contact for MCE to see it as PTT up.

Hope this helps

Hi Gerald. I was wondering if you may have an answer for my issue stated above regarding the heading selector command moving only in one direction three posts above.

Hi Gerald. I was wondering if you may have an answer for my issue stated above regarding the heading selector command moving only in one direction three posts above.

Yes, we are aware of that.

Right now it's the best we can do with heading dialing with that particular aircraft.

In earlier aircraft versions, we got it to work as expected (taking the shortest path). Since a few versions back, they changed things, and we had to devise a new way to control the heading dial. And almost gave up on it.

Don't forget none of Captain Sim aircraft has any sort of SDK.

Who knows, maybe with a future aircraft update, they may revert to the initial implementation, and we'll adjust accordingly.

Thank you for the reply.

Hi...    I tried out the demo version of mce but unfortunately my trial "ran out" as I started FSX for the first time after the installation. I therefore deleted the program demo following the guide in the manual(including the removal of the fsinsider.dll file). I then started up FSX and everything was normal UNTIL I spawned in and found out my ATC was partly broken(I could not hear what I said, see any message or even sometimes hear the ATC)   Here are 2 problems. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

Hi...    I tried out the demo version of mce but unfortunately my trial "ran out" as I started FSX for the first time after the installation. I then started up FSX and everything was normal UNTIL I spawned in and found out my ATC was partly broken(I could not hear what I said, see any message or even sometimes hear the ATC)   Here are 2 problems. Hi,

Sorry to hear your Demo didn't go smoothly.

In terms of what changed to your simulator setting. Almost nothing.

We only add fsInsider.dll to the sim installation folder as well as a folder named <MCE dlls>.

No files inside FSX or P3D installation folders are touched, not even "Aircraft.cfg" or "Panel.cfg"

MCE itself installs and runs outside the simulator process.

In order to make ATC more realistic, 2 options are turned off in "fsx.cfg" file. ATC text display and the voice doubling up your transmission.

You can re-enable them simply by going to FSX menu Options->Settings->General dialog box

Then tick the relevant options in the right side of the window.

If you missed out on the Demo, be aware Aerosoft has licensed MCE for use with their A320/A321.

We have produced a separate package for them. It doesn't require activation. It will only work with Aerosoft A320/A321 though, as opposed to 36 (that's right 36) other complex aircraft, including almost all PMDG, Captain Sim, Quality Wings, Majestic, iFly, CoolSky and other manufacturers aircraft, supported in Ultimate Edition.

Details here: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/110775-attention-all-bus-drivers/

If you don't own the A320/A321, and never ran MCE Demo on your current machine before, please get in touch with support. support(at)multicrewxp.com

You can re-enable them simply by going to FSX menu Options->Settings->General dialog box

Then tick the relevant options in the right side of the window.

Thanks for the help with this. Unfortunately I do not own any aerosoft products but it is fine, the software looks worth the money.

I've found a few problems. Not sure if they have been mentioned before or not.

PLANE: PDMG 737NGX

Checklists:

1.) Answering the single word "Auto" to any checklist item will trigger the FO to set the Pneumatic Isolation Valve to OPEN.

2.) Answering the single word "Idle" will trigger the FO to set the Fuel Levers to Cutoff (shut down the engines).

Spoilers Down/Retract Command:

Is wonky. The FO often gets stuck in a loop endlessly raising and lowering them.

Hi seamutt,

1  Didn't pay much attention to that, but now you're mentioned it and checked

2. That i have taken it out of the checklists and checked it myself.

This is also for the IFly.

Best regards

2.) Answering the single word "Idle" will trigger the FO to set the Fuel Levers to Cutoff (shut down the engines).

This was reported via e-mail some time ago, and only happens with option "strict checklist" enabled.

FO interpreted "idle" as "off". Shouldn't behave like that in package uploaded last month.
