June 16, 200421 yr That's the label on the plane in the sim - I think he meant the label on the icon in the TCAS...But, good reference!Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
June 16, 200421 yr >Actually the labels can display both of those items you>mentioned. Open up your FS9.cfg and edit this section:>>[AContain]>ShowLabels=1>ShowUserLabel=0>ShowLabelManufacturer=0>ShowLabelModel=1>ShowLabelTailNumber=1>ShowLabelDistance=1>ShowLabelAltitude=1>ShowLabelAirline=0>ShowLabelAirlineAndFlightNumber=1>ShowLabelFlightPlan=1>ShowLabelContainerId=0>ShowLabelAirspeed=0>ShowLabelHeading=0>LabelDelay=1000>LabelColor=FFFF9900>>ShowLabelFlightPlan will show the ICAO codes of the departing>and destination airports. LabelDelay is how long the labels>switch in milliseconds. I haven't tried ContainerId though.Hi,Nope, I think he was responding to my post and I meant a label on the plane in the sim. I don't know if Mozart, the originator of this thread is ok with using labels. He might be looking for a gauge that has this information. But anyway, I didn't know this particular info was possible on aircraft labels. I'm going to be checking it out right now though! Thanks pancreas,Jim
June 16, 200421 yr Hi pancreas,I checked it out and sure enough, worked great. :) Guess it's surprising what you can find digging around in the FS9.cfg file, hehe. Thanks again,Jim
June 17, 200421 yr Traffic Look runs in its own window and has a spreadsheet grid look to it giving specific info. It is meant more for diagnostic purposes being linked via FSUIPC to the user's aircraft position in a running FS9 flight. It is not a visual indication.I use payware Reality-XP Jetline gauges. Both the JL2 and JL4 series have TCAS integrated with the EHSI display. The targets without clicking on them show relative difference altitude to you in hundreds of feet within I think a +-5,000 foot window, position, and altitude trend arrow if it is vertically closing, unchanged, or becoming more seperated. The targets change color and fill as the vertical distance gets within closer ranges.
