August 18, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Ahh then you are talking about 1080p projectors, which are VERY expensive and I do not know (have not researched) if they are available in the short throw flavour which I would need.... Mine would be considered short throw. It projects a 125" image from a distance of 13'. As far as being expensive, I don't think it's too bad, considering you can pay around $700+ for a good, quality 46" LED HDTV. August 18, 201213 yr @A340Bangla, To help you think about all your considerations for projector/HDTVs, a great website that discusses a lot of these issues is flightdecksolutions.com - then choose the forum called Open Discussion. http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5&sid=7e57c6bd6097117409425e95126b631e They are building full cockpits and the visual system is always an issue. I just wanted to confirm to you that a single topend PC can drive three HD monitors or projectors pretty well (smooth 40 fps) now - as long as you set most sliders in the middle and keep AI traffic to the minimum.
