Yes, I think the author should ensure the check box be checked just to be on the safe side until at least the code settles down. Also offer an opportunity to automatically backup changed files. It is too risky to let this program run roughshod through the files without recourse to backup. This is no insult to the author but he admits himself to not being a guru.

Hi,

I realise this is an old topic now but I was having some issues with some stutters in Fs9, found this thread, ran this tool in scan mode, it found lots of errors so I ran it with tick box unchecked to fix errors and what do u know, now as soon as I try and load a flight FS9 exits to the desktop half way through the loading process.

Yippee!

How I wish I had left well alone.

Cheers,

C.T.

the tool is only for textures supported in fsx, not fs9. Reinstall fs9

Nope AAL125, it supports both FS9 and FSX  B)

Anyhoo, it seems to be something to do with the weather, I can load into the sim if I select clear weather. I then cannot load any weather from within the sim.

Quite strange.

Cheers.

Just to remind everyone that the latest (and probably final) version 2.2 has been out a while already.

If you haven't scanned your installation (FS9/FSX/P3D) for faulty textures already go do so now, the link is below in my signature.

Cheers!

Can this be used on P3D v3? I scanned the files (just report) and some "bad" files were reported. Among them some belong to Majestic Q400. Can I mess something up if this program fixes these textures? I didn't see any option for backup so I'm reluctant to use it for real. Any ideas?

You CAN use it, but I don't think the alpha channel thing is a problem in P3D and FSX.

It was in FS9 that it caused noticable hickups.

I have used it in both FSX and P3D and it didn't at least make anything worse so it's up to you.
