Any ideas what this object might be?

Where do you guys find these roads with no cars on them? I want to go there and drive like hell. All the roads I can find to drive on are full of cars, 24/7, it seems.

This looks like a small bird going away from the camera with wings held back and legs tucked in, possibly with wings held in as it dives for an insect ahead and below it.

Tell you what fellas, there's no way anyone can make a plane out of my pic! There's no tailplane, the shape is completely wrong, no wings, regardless of what direction you view it. I'm not saying it's anything in particular, but it is just not a plane.

I would just be curious to what NATO or NASA activities were going on at that time. You took that picture on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Morroco. It appears high altitude and high speed.

Perhaps a B-2 being ferried overseas? if it was a B-2 at high speed that would explain the elongation in the photo from your shutter speed.

Perhaps a U-2 out for a spin?

Perhaps NASA launching something out of Cape Canaveral? (your are east of Florida at that time).

Cruise Missile testing?

Anyone have any ideas???

There are no UAV's that have that form factor regardless of the viewing angle. Now, if someone is working on a flying Portuguese Man of War, sans tentacles, then we are looking at history being made. Imagine the internal gas to keep one of those afloat, er, airborne.

Hi Matt, mm, sorry matey, I don't think the shutter speed theory works. The photo was taken with a shutter speed of 250/sec which is more than fast enough to freeze most things unless of course they were moving extremely fast. So, if it was moving extremely fast and there was some movement within the frame due to the speed, then the appearance would be more of a smear, as can be clearly seen with the car pic. If you look closely at the right hand end, you can just see a roundness to the shape, suggesting a cylinder. in fact, if you google tubes ufos, just see what comes up, you'll be surprised!

That's just because I am a bit realistic and don't believe other inteligent life is interested in or spying on us...More likely it is something man made.

I am going to take my picture over to the New Zealand Army Museum that is actually only a mile away from where I took that pic and see what was flying around Waiauru Millitary Camp that day.

Same here.. I do find these things interesting though. How cool is it that you got a bonus with the mountain shot!?

birds!

thats' what they look like - flutter for a few seconds then dive to feed, wings back legs in - can see a darker area where the feet are tucked in behind. Looks like a fast shutter was used and well inside the depth of field on a sunny day even with 250th.

the 'cylinder' is a 737

- the wings cause the middle to look thin.

Boy, that music from Howard's video gave me the creeps. I won't go out today, those things are all over the place. :Worried:

Anyone recalling that tribe somewhere in the Brazilian jungle?

I imagine some conversation among them.

You is nuts, there is nothing but rain forest around!

No, I saw them, they are flying and they have beings like us as their eyes.

Yeah, right, flying.

Yes, and they are flying loudly.

Of course! But where should they come from, huh? We've explored the forest and there was nothing.

Guess you are right, I should watch my drinking.
