Undocking Windows IN FSX

Recommended Posts

I have an Alienware Aurora Computer with 3 display screens. Undocking "views" in FS9 is relatively easy but I have been trying to replicate the procedure in FSX with no joy. Can anyone provide a hint as to how you can arrange windows to provide a left side view, cockpit forward view and a right side view in FSX?

Thanks for your assistance.

Open a new view via the view menu, right click on it and select 'Undock Window'. That's all. Pretty big performance hit on undocked windows, though. I'd just run a wide view virtual cockpit across all three.

I agree. I use a TH2Go digital setup for a wideview cockpit display, and there's not nearly as big a performance hit as using 3 separate undocked views.
