And... for the price of 1 sim, I got 3 :-)

Initially, long ago, X-Plane was just a fixed wing aircraft simulator, then, one day, as some of you may well recall, Austin announced X-Rotor, but that version never really came to live... Instead we got a new version of the sim including fixed as well as rotary wing aircraft.

Today's versions of x-plane include much more aircraft/airship types, such as gliders, ligher than air, orbital vehicles, spaceships...

Well, I got various simulators on a single platform, but given my present interests, I am perfectly satisfied with having some sort of DCS in X-Plane10, given the level of accuracy and detail an helicopter can be made up to in X-Plane, but also Condorsoaring, because even if not so sophisticated as specific simulators like Condor and Silent Wings, X-Plane offers a very consistent and interesting/challenging soaring environment, including thermals and slope winds...

So, I really got 3 simulators with just one.... And of course, there's the war side of the sim too, bat that one I really don't care about, although it is nice to know it is also included :-)

If only I ever learn how to use a CAD app and try to design my own glider project....

And, BTW: A couple of months ago someone sent me a link to a very interesting DG-1000 (or was it a -500 ???) project? Any glider projects for X-Plane are really important for me, so, if any of you know about anything, please post here ;-)
