Uninstalling Orbx

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to uninstall all orbx entries and sceneries made by the 1.3 migrator? Or do I have to reinstall P3D 1.4 to remove all orbx entries made by migrator?

You're really best doing this if you 100% want anything that migrator does out of your installation. I personally no longer trust the migrator as I'm 90% certain it's mixing up textures or landclass somewhere. You may have to reinstall other scenery etc but this is a sure fire method to rid of anything that migrator does.

Delete from your P3D route directory

/orbx

/scenery

/texture

terrain.cfg

Delete this folder (this contains the scenery.cfg the game recognizes)

C:\users\All Users\Lockheed Martin (Windows 7, may be different on XP etc)

Run the Prepar3D setup and choose repair.. It'll gather some data for about 5 minutes tops then proceed to let you click install to repair your installation. About 10-15 minutes later you're good as new again. It won't overwrite your controls and display settings etc.. Will just basically replace everything you deleted w/ default.
