Vista is a known dog.

Win 8 is built on Win 7, which is pretty good.

I'm not a Microsoft salesman, but Win 8 has so far been pretty good to me. The Metro is thing is goofy but I can see a lot of everyday people really liking it.

But you're right, waiting for SP1 is always a good idea.

Really so lets say I take my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and go windows 8. Will the pc run stable? Thats all I need to know to start giving this new os a chance

I've been running Win 8 on my MacBook Air full time for the last week. I've got the thing connected to multiple monitors and it's running FSX and the NGX.

So far so good. Very stable, at least on my machine.

Win 8 and Metro are the future of Windows O/S... may as well bite the bullet and get used to it now, because Metro ain't going away.

If you can run the NGX then the T7 will be no problem, it might run even better.
