fsx2p3d and contrails pro a no-go?

Recommended Posts

I just bought the fsx2p3d migration tool but it is not doing its thing for contrails pro: it crashes P3D

Am I doing something wrong. Does it install ?

I can no longer use FSX it redid all my settings

P3D lost some addons !

WHAT A MESSY piece of software !!

Uninstalled it

Had to redo a few tweaks, and P3D back to normal

It permanently messed up my FSX cfg file by deleting it !!!

They have no right to delete any files on my computer !

I had all kinds of backups in my app data subfolder and it deleted these.

Lost the dll.xmt and the exe.xml files

Nothing works now in FSX even though I immediately uninstalled the crappy software called Fsx2P3d

I got most of the problems ironed out

I'm doing it all manually, got UTX working fine, with the setup tool to boot.

dont need Fsx2P3d, was told i did, but its a waste of money

Estonia Migrator, if not used properly and carefully, might mess up your FSX files, because that is exactly what it does - mess up the P3D to look like FSX, thus enabling you to install FSX addons into P3D.

Be careful with it and make backups. It messed up for me once because I did something I should not (don't know any more what) - but I always keep a backup of my files.

I have the old rex contrails back up somewhere and i wonder how well it works in p3d :) but i normally use UT2 to extend the contrails so they are not so short
