Strange one, Suspended in the air!

Recommended Posts

I did a flight from Gatwick to Brussels in the NGX and about 5 minutes after departure I selected spot view to check the weather around me as I'd just bought OPUS. As I panned around in spot view I noticed the engines sounded like they were increasing and decreasing in thrust. I then when back to the VC an realised my plane was just suspended in mid air with everything still running (instruments and sound) has anyone else experienced this? It was almost like an active pause that I couldn't unpause.

Thanks

Gavin Price

This sounds exactly like the infamous symptoms of a Windows 7-64-bit PC, with FSX suddenly finding out that it has a compatibility issue with the version of UIAutomationCore.dll that's to be found in the bowels of \System32 and the SysWOW64 folders......

Download this , place it in the root folder of FSX, renaming it to it proper name - UIAutomationCore.dll, and I think your problem will go away...

Win7's default version is win7 default version is 6.1.7600.16385, and FSX doesn't like it.

The one you're downloading is the Vista 32-bit version - 6.0.5840.16386

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll give this a shot although I'm not too sure whether I've done it already.

Cheers
