Australian and NZ Paints

Recommended Posts

Any keen paint artists watching this forum?

There's two more real J41's that we could be flying, the paints are not too complex but I don't paint myself. If anyone wants to have a go:

National Jet (Australian for contract):

Also several on airliners website (not allowed to post link)

Peau Vava'u (old Airline owned by King of Tonga):

Hi Dan

My apologies for the late reply, but first I had to make sure that I had actually done versions of the two repaints you were asking about before I posted, and trying to find anything in my back-ups is not the easiest thing to do, but better late than never, so if you want to take these for a spin to see if they are close to what you were after then just let me know and I will organise uploading them to the server I used to use when I was repainting and post the download link for the file sets for you to try out.

Take care, and have fun.

Hi Jim,

That is fantastic! It's exactly what I'm looking for, I like to fly routes in ORBX Australia/NZ, and there is only so much of Brindabella I can fly :)

This will keep me going with the J41 for a while, would be much appreciated if you could upload or send.

Cheers

Hi Dan

It is not a problem, and flying in the ORBX areas is actually why I did these originally, and as you say the Brindabella scheme was the only one available at that time so I decided to have a look around and saw the National Jet Systems scheme which seemed like a good one to have a go at, anyway to the important bit, I have uploaded them for you to the server is used for my repaints, so it would probably be a good idea to let you have the download link for them, so here you go…

and don’t forget that if you should find anything that you think I should take another look at then just let me know what and where and I will see what I can do to help.

Take care, and have fun.

Great! Thanks for that mate, I'll check them out tomorrow.

Then I'll have to do some research and find their routes to fly

Cheers

Cobham aviation has a route map on their website I can use for the National Jet flights, because it's very hard to find the old routes of that one. This gives me more choices anyway:

Peau Vava'u I managed to find, it will go well with Tonga sceneries from PIS:

This is where Peau Vava'u used to fly:

NFTF=Fua'amotu International, the base of Peau Vava'u is an international airport on the main Tongan island of Tongatapu, Kingdom of Tonga. It is located on the south side of the main island, 35 km from the capital, Nuku'alofa. It was originally built with coral surface runways during World War 2 (WWII) as heavy bomber field.

NFTV=Vava'u International, also known as Lupepau'u International Airport, it is located 75nm north of Ha'apai-Lifuka (NFTL) and 173nm from Fua'amotu International Airport (NFTF). The airport is located 10 km (6.2 mi) north of the capital Neiafu.

NFTL=HA'APAI-LIFUKA AIRPORT. also known as Salote Pilolevu Airport, it is situated due north of Fua'amotu International (NFTF). It is 99nm from Fua'amotu and 75nm due south of Vava'u International (NFTV). The airport has a 3,937x98ft (1200x30m) bituminous/asphalt mixed runway and is subject to frequent cross-winds.

Hi Dan

Thank you for the links and the research, as for the PIS scenery I do have those installed, which was another reason for doing the Tonga J4100, I do have to admit that it seems that I always end up doing a J4100 repaint for almost every scenery package I get as she is just so nice to fly, a bit busy at times, but still a great little aircraft, and now I have some real timetables to try out thanks to your efforts which are really appreciated.

Have fun with the J4100 on your routes, I know I will.
