September 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member Between this and that thread concerning a certain voice file in MCE from a week or so ago, I'm starting to get really disgusted with people who begin their day deciding to get offended at one thing or another. There's all sorts of stuff I see every day that I find offensive, but I don't make it a point to declare it every chance I get. If making a statement about crossing ones fingers in anticipation of something is now suddenly verboten because someone, somewhere out there finds the generations-old figure of speech offensive, then I guess I'm going to have to unplug my computer and turn into a luddite. +1,000,000 I wholeheartedly agree with you! The only reason why I even alluded to this is because that dude called me out on another thread where I was asking someone to not "jihad" a thread, as in hijacking a thread, and he told me to watch my language. I just wanted to show him that there are many many words, phrases and expressions used in day-to-day talk that could also be considered offensive if looked into a bit deeper. But yes, I couldn't agree more with you, this is getting ridiculous. I was even reprimanded once by a staff member here because I used the expression Grammar ######, which everyone and their neighbor knows it's a common way to describe those anal about everything posted on Internet Forums should have proper syntax and spelling. Case in point, we as a society want to bend backwards and grab our ankles in order to make sure some don't get offended and we cater to their every need yet that some, can go ahead and burn our flags, kill our countrymen and yet, we stand by watching from the sidelines taking it in without vaseline.
